3. The Lunchbox Movie

The Lunchbox is a lighthearted romantic drama about the love that grows between an accountant, Ila (Nimrat Kaur), and a widowed housewife, Irrfan Khan. The film’s release is timely because it parallels the difficulties of single mothers trying to find love and companionship while juggling careers and responsibilities. 4. English Vinglish Movie

It’s been a while since I saw a film that I found this entertaining. The movie English Vinglish tells the story of Shashi, who wants to teach her family how to speak English. It starts when one day, she drops her card for an airline, realizes she can't read other languages, and then goes on to take private tutorials with other Indian women. Along the way, she learns more about herself and about life back home in India. English Vinglish is a 2012 Indian, comedy-drama film directed by Gauri Shinde. The film stars Sridevi as a housewife struggling to learn English in order to fit into the American society where she resides. After watching the movie, one can conclude that it is an inspiring story of how one woman learns to overcome obstacles and regain her self-confidence. It will inspire many people who may be dealing with similar situations.

5. Queen Movie

Queen is a powerful story about an Indian woman who fights for her rights and eventually becomes the "Queen" of her village. You cannot help but be inspired by the courageous tale of Queen, played by Kangna Ranaut.

Queen opens with a horrific scene, where Rajkumari (Kangna Ranaut) is being brutally raped by two men just because she refused to marry someone against her will.
