"Tobias Forge" is a "Swedish" singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the frontman of the Grammy-nominated rock band Ghost. He was born on March 3, 1981, in Linköping, Sweden.

Forge started his musical career in several underground metal bands, including Repugnant and Subvision. In 2006, he formed Ghost, a theatrical rock band known for their elaborate costumes and imagery inspired by horror movies and Satanism. Ghost's debut album, "Opus Eponymous" was released in 2010, and the band quickly gained a following in Europe and the United States.

Despite the band's success, Forge remained anonymous for several years, performing under the guise of "Papa Emeritus" a character who was portrayed as the lead singer of Ghost. In 2017, Forge revealed his true identity in a lawsuit brought against him by former members of the band.

Since then, Forge has continued to lead Ghost, releasing several more albums and embarking on multiple world tours. In addition to his work with Ghost, Forge has also produced music for other artists, including Candlemass and MCC.
